He is in a school rock band. They've done a few gigs at a couple of places, but don't have a singer.

Sorry to hear that he was not accepted however, with the standard of drumming he showed he could start up a group himself!!

He did start a school band called "Leadwater", but it appears that someone else already used that name, so now they are "True Tension."
They have done performances at a licenced restaurant and a couple of open mike sessions.
He looked quite restrained in that audition, I guess he was demonstrating timing or techniques or whatever; all over my head.

He sounds really good, of course if he is looking to improve for next time he could study from 'The Professor'
