I think your missing the point - Dave wasnt saying you didnt make it realistic - just its a very simple panel for such a huge aircraft - I have always
been surprised at how small the flight deck proper is on the Mars - never mind that behind it is an area big enough to hold a garden party

OK, fair enough. You are right, it is amazingly spartan for such a massive aircraft

Is there any chance you guys could do a B-58 style "pro" version with working Flight Engineer panel in the future? It'd be cool to have a full fuel system and all those gauges in the back available to tinker with. :)

Personally I think that there should be a bar on the Mars.

I was thinking of humorizing his statement by saying.

I hope they have the Bar built by the time I get a chance to ride the rocket that gets me up there. ... to Mars
it'd be the first "Mars Bar"
wonder if the tarts there are green?
and if they have all the right parts in all the right places

Room for a cup holder or two on that panel, don't you think? (Something to put the drinks on from the bar  )

On a more serious note - since the 60's at least we have come to expect a panel full of gauges and switches and it does look a bit odd to have a panel with acres of nothing on it. Kind of reflects the way cars used to be in the 60's and 70's.

Chris

The Stratocruiser is much the same

Only a few dials on the panel.........btu the engineers station is something else crammed full.

I suppose wht you are seeing there is just the flight instruments and basic engine.

All the clever stuff is behind, somewhere but it will be there.
