Hi Toby,

I had a similar problem with a forum I used to run, Have you tried refreshing the database at all? It did the trick for me.

I am an admin but not the host. It's on SteveS4SSL's website, so I have emailed him as some of the other stuff he hosts may also have been compromised.

Well for me it just looks like an invalid SQL-call, The Insert into exspect a field called session_admin and that db haven't got it...

Might be so simple as a faulty db-update/backup...

Steve is working on it, hence the strange error messages. Probably best to avoid using it until i have posted that its back up and working.

Thanks

Basically when I went to the site last night, instead of the usual blue forum I was greeted by rotating Turkish logos on a black background with "Hacked by Bela" and a load of jibberish in Turkish or Arabic and links to hacking sites, with my, Steves and Neil's profiles as clickable links below.

Apparently what happens is that they make a post with some kind of script in it, which places an entry in the database and effectively hijacks the forum. I l know its happened to Henk's forum and to Jelle's site before too, and its usually middle eastern types that are behind it (for example Henk's site was taken over by Islamic types). When I looked to see what the links were I found a "league table" of how many hacks members of that site had presumably achieved inside a certain time frame. In the past it used to be mainly American geeks (for fun) or Eastern Europeans and Russians (for financial gain) who were behind hacking but perhaps not so much these days :dunno:
