Hi Jetty

No Mate.

set FS9.cfg like this for my ATI card

[GRAPHICS]
FULL_SCREEN=1
PERFORMANCE_MODE=0
DEF_PERF_MODE=7
TEXT_SCROLL=1
AUTO_LOD=0
DETAIL_TEXTURE=2
WATER_EFFECTS=2
TERRAIN_USE_VECTOR_MAP=1
TERRAIN_USE_VECTOR_OBJECTS=0
EFFECTS_QUALITY=2
GROUND_SHADOWS=0
SMOOTH_VIEW=1
IMAGE_SMOOTHING=1
TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024
COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=1
AIRCRAFT_SHADOWS=1
LANDING_LIGHTS=1
IMAGE_QUALITY=0
TEXTURE_BLDG=1
TEXTURE_GND=1
TEXTURE_WATER=1
AIRCRAFT_TEXTURE=2
SEE_SELF=1
TEXTURE_QUALITY=3
LOD_TARGET_FPS=30
NUM_LIGHTS=8

[DISPLAY]
UPPER_FRAMERATE_LIMIT=0
TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=400

[TERRAIN]
TERRAIN_ERROR_FACTOR=100.000000
TERRAIN_MIN_DEM_AREA=10.000000
TERRAIN_MAX_DEM_AREA=100.000000
TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21
TERRAIN_TEXTURE_SIZE_EXP=8
TERRAIN_AUTOGEN_DENSITY=5
TERRAIN_USE_GRADIENT_MAP=1
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=0
TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=9.000000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=9.500000
TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=5

Works great for me for UKVFR photoscenery & terrain.
FSFRANCE Paris Base and Corsica Base too.

Back up your FS9.cfg before you try my settings as they vary for every PC to be optimum.

These work great for me.

Regards
Rick :wink:

Hi Jetty

P4 3.0 ghz (2Jags) :lol: work it out
ASUS P4p 800E Deluxe MB.
2 gb DDR 400
ATI X800 pro (unlocked pipelines) as per X800XT but at normal X800 speeds. ie: not overclocked at all. just 16 pipes running instead of normal X800 pro 12 pipelines.
Windows XP Pro(Media Centre 2005) sp2

Very much the same as mine apart I have an AMD chip, but the rest seems familiar.

Will give the tweak a go. Not too sure about the pipelines though? :think:

Thanks for the info Rick! :thumbsup:

Hi Jetty

I updated the X800 s Bios file to unlock the pipelines.

Basically the texture bandwidth is now 33% higher.

Big improvement in framerate after modding.

the only problem is the Mod only works on genuine ATI cards
and ones that are rebadged ie: Sapphire etc.

Rick :wink:

Sounds too complex for me Rick, it worries me incase I mess it up and the thing isn't the same again. If it's easy to do, let me know how. If IYHO it's not, then send me on my way! :poke:
