Well.. a great day was had by all at Duxford today. It was nice to meet up with DG again and meet his friend John for the first time plus a first meet up with John (RAF Quantum), his wife plus a handful of his fellow CFS Squadran friends
Tom.. we were about as far away from where you were as we could get (and not by design!!) hence I didn't call to drag you away. Next time perhaps
Will post a few shots at some point in the future over in the Gallery

Yep a great day. Flying Legends never ceases to amaze me. This years surprises were three Bristol Fighters in the air in formation, an airworthy Morane-Saulnier M.S.406, two Catalinas ( one of which is the oldest flying PBY in the world and has three confirmed U-Boat sinkings credited to it ), and the world's only flying Seafire. Add to that, three Corsairs, two B-17s, five Mustangs, at least 10 other Spitfires, a Skyraider, a B-25, Bearcat, Tigercat, Hellcat, Wildcat....the worlds only airworthy Curtiss Hawk 75...Sea Fury, Polikarpov I-15, a couple of C-47/DC3, a P-47 Thunderbolt...plus much beer drunk in the Airforce Bar at the Eagle in Cambridge tonight. Its been a rather good weekend! :partyman:
