Thing with real player...and this has happenend every time, is it asks if I want it to be the default media player, I say no and the bugger comes up first every time anyway.
So I had taken to install if need be......then view......then uninstall
Not a happy situation really
I hate thing's that do the like the windows that open and you click cancel or close and it still runs up :huf:
If nothing else it's very rude and ill mannered to behave like that

No.. it's not to everyones taste

I needed it to be able to do something that MP couldn't do (god.. I dislike that progam!!) so I bought my copy and got used to it. I noticed a while back that the 'plus' bit had disappeared (obviously.. I'd not bought a 'full' copy, just a years subscription.. not best pleased as I never used 99.9% of it's overall capabilities  ) but there you go. Of course.. MP has been updated a couple of times since then (now on v10 I believe) and I still don't like it. All down to personal preferrence

I use Winamp for music, Media Player 10 for video, Real Alternative for Real files and Quicktime Alternative for Quicktime files.
That lot covers most things apart from the odd Divx file.

I'm sure you know this, but just in case somebody's missed it: Click on START, then Set Program Access and Defaults to regain control! You can still choose to access non default progs by ticking the wee box.

I wasn't sure whether to get both of those DVD's, or just one. But with xmas coming up......they can both be my pressies!
I'm not of that 'certain age', but I love looking at what I missed all those years ago.

I am of that cerian age
And most of that I never saw on the ground in real life
A few overflights
The last Viking I ever saw was Channel Airways in 1962. I've not even seen the one in Brooklands

The Brookie one is the only one I've seen or will ever see, when I went the other week for the Vanguard run.
Its currently missing its wings outboard of the engines.

That idependants is going to be a serious DVD
That was never well covered in an official sense and what was is largely lost
Most of that will be a new experience methinks
