Hi Jim,

The civie ones are different downloads... perhaps these other ones are your earlier attempts? If you only have the C1K installed the only folders you should have that relate to this model are

"VC10 C1K"

"DMFS Shared Files" (This will also include panels and sound files etc for other DM models if you have these installed)

By the sounds of it, you have a folder structure that contains aircraft folders (i.e. Aircraft1, aircraft2, aircraft3 etc) within the main aircraft folder?

If this is the case this is were your earlier installs went wrong, and these folders can be deleted. Hope this makes sense.

A relative easy thing to do can sometimes by a monster to explain ;-)

Hi Ben,this is strange indeed.

After each original attempt to install VC10C1K,when it didn't show in the sim while choosing aircraft to fly,I went back into the aircraft folder and totally removed any trace of it before trying again to reinstall.

There was definately no sign of anything VC10C1K in the aircraft folder before I eventually installed it using your method.

After following your instructions for some reason the 1x VC10C1K folder and 4x 'AIRCRAFT'folders( containing the same VC10C1K files, albeit two with panel inc) all installed at the same time.

Anyway, I've deleted the 4 x 'AIRCRAFT'(no.1,2,3,4) folders and just have the VC10 C1K/DMFS folders and all is well.

Going to lay down in a darkened room a while and recover......

Thanks for your help

regards Jim
