I thought you had to convert the bmp files to DXT2 for them to show?

I'm still an FS9 pilot so this is just what i've heard from other people and painters.

There is a folder called DMFS Shared Files, which sits on the first level of FS9 if you still have that loaded, or if you re unzip to a temp you will find it there in you temp unzip

In it you will see a Folder HS121 Trident Panel VC

Copy the contents of that folder into each of you Trident paints

Hi Mick

I think it's just the DMTrid*.bmp s from the FS9 "texture" folder

I just did the 1-11 and that was all i needed.

You just need the "DMFS Shared Files" in the FSX "Airplanes" folder along with the models themselves.

snap! Garry

you shouldn't need to do those textures as they are called from the panel & not from the model so they should be fine as they are.

It's only the actual part textures & not the ones that the panel parts use with the gauges on.

Callum we don't use DXT2 but DXT3 and that is a compression and does not make it show...that is something else mate used for performance reasons as against 16 or 32 bit.

The files in that folder show as they are the ones normally used

The only reason they are not showing here is that FS.X can't find them otherwise they are fine.

Hi RicK

SO it will read the shared from the airplanes folder..........so I take it that is because DM uses his own seperate folder rather that the texture folder you use meaning with yours it has to go into each?

Hi Garry

Nope.

you still need the DMTrid*.* textures from the FS9 texture folder.

But the model will still read the DMSF one for the VC projection polys.
