Afraid I've got to agree with Tom, passed my test last november and am insured for my mum's punto, to date I've never used the girly button except for the compulsory messing around with all the gadgety bits in tescos car park just after you've started driving it

Ours has a shocking record where reliability was concerned. Our first one was perfect and had very little in the way of problems before we gave it to my grandad and got a new one when his micra had several major repairs due. The only real problem was last month when the clutch went this has now been fixed although grandad has given up driving and my aunty now drives it. The one we have now which I drive had loads of problems when we first got it but finally seems sorted (my sister has been driving it a whole month and it still worked when I got back from uni  ).

Yes Nigel, that is the model, doing my sums last night and that 50 m.p.g. is spot on!
Hi Tom, that 'girlie button' is grat in Spanish underground car parks, which make UK ones look like stadiums  Jeremy Clarkson loves them and James May owns one........good enough reccomendations for me

Robin, if you wait a few months, there is a new Smart about to come out, with a bigger engine and a better gear change.......although I was happy with the old one.

'Ere, hang on a minute Tom :tuttut: ......Didn't notice that there was a switch until I felt that the steering was feeling somewhat lighter than it should be  ..........HONEST!!!!

just got rid of my punto today as it had just done 75000 miles in20 months it has been the most reliable of cars only tyres and a back box.I needed some thing a little bigger so I got a ford Fusion , as Fiat didn't have any thing as solid or as well built on the forcourt .
