Think there's a statue of him in Limavady Ben, so I would imagine he comes from round there.

Maybe he sat at the landing field and waited for Aer Lingus to be invented :think:

he he, question 2 is er, slightly trick maybe, (but correct),
although the first man to fly an aeroplane in Ireland, he wasn't succesful,
as co-designer/builder of the Ferguson Monoplane, he crashed it on its' first flight.

And Garry is thinking on the right track there..
