VEGAS wrote:Hi all,

well in contrast to the other thread what in your opinion would you consider the ugliest or least pretty airline livery?

This is probably mine, I almost feel sorry for the Aircraft!

Wow. Certainly eye-catching!
even from the inside! : http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1103034/M/
It looks like they've applied etching primer but haven't got around to painting it yet...

Ford used to paint their 'sporty' Mondeos in that shade. Maybe they realised how bad it was and sold it all to the Russians?

It got even worse, when it said just 'British' on the fuselage.

To be fair it was trying, and succeeded, to be inovative, but in 1974, when the Tridents finally ousted the last Turnhouse Vanguards it was just the last straw. :tuttut: They used to give you a little Trident jigsaw and fleet details book on the Heathrow flights, and I remember thinking, even at the age of nine, what the fork are they calling a Vanguard a Merchantman for? And what's with these shyte less-than-26"-tall windows? The Vanguards even had individual salt and pepper shakers; one was green and one light blue, can't remember which way round it was  .

Nice to see G-AOYL on Bergerac last night though; my first 806 cockpit ride. It had G-AOYL scrawled in enormous letters with a permanent marker on both the capts and F/Os panels

Cheers
