GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Do you think some transparent protective paint will be applied to avoid corrosion?? I hope so. For istance, the planes opendoor at the Luzern museun in Switzerland (Convair Coronado, DC-3 and Twin Pioneer) are in gleaming, safe and perfect condition after nearly 40 years in open air. RAF museum didn't apply nothing to the neglected Beverley and after years she was so corroded that became dangerous for people and consequently reduced to scrap.
Now only one Bev exists . It's a sad view to see old faithful planes demolished in that way and Cosford Museum did the same very recently with 2 vintage liners. Why ?? :tuttut:

The Cosford airliners were cared for by British Airways who withdrew support leading to the disposal of the collection. They were not a part of the RAF collection at Cosford.
As the the Man Trident... it has paint so that if kept clean and free from fungal growth and dirt show help a lot
Many of the exhibits like the Beverly were put outside and left some without any further preservation work after arrival especially in the smaller collections.
The English climate is also less friendly to outside exhibits with in many places excessive damp and salt air
Germany scores better in the climate stakes.
G-AWZK has already been outside for many many years but the fact she was under care has saved her.
The guys there will be looking after her with a passion I'm sure
