Thanks Pete. I've found a tutorial, got AFCAD, and will download Traffic Tools. I'm quite looking forward to experimenting with all this.

Took me about 4 or 5 nights to get it right - and its really satisfying to see your own AIs in flight - I have 8 or so AIs that fly into Old warden when I want to have an open day - my favortie spot is to sit out at the temporary tower at the mid point of the runway and watch them land and taxi in

Leif, what I'd love to do is recreate a day in the life of a Bomber Command station in some small way.

One of my favourite passages in Len Deighton's novel 'Bomber' is when Flight Sergeant Lambert and his crew take their Lancaster up for an air test in preparation for the forthcoming night's operation over the Ruhr. Also, on the wall by my computer, I have Keith Woodcock's painting 'A Friday in Winter', which shows Halifax B.Mk. III LV907 over one of the wintry landscapes that Keith seems to specialize in. In the background, there's another Halibag, and it seems they too are on their pre-mission air test.

There is a complete lack of anything like an RAF Bomber Command sim on the market, so while I have Alphasim's Halifax and Hampden, and Plane Design's Lancaster package, plus some excellent add-on scenery of the appropriate airfields, I'd like to get a taste of what it was like.

So.....RAF Driffield in the depths of winter, 1944: I sit in the cockpit of my Halifax, running the engines up, and watch as another Halifax commences its take off run...I can see it all now!
