Hiya Tweek

Remind me not to follow you in on finals when you're flying something as small as the Chipmouse again. I almost cr@pped myself when you turned hard left as I'd not seen the airfield beforehand!

Re settings.. what you can and can't do is pretty limited mate. Even something as easy as changing your aircraft is a ridiculously time consuming job  It's possible your AA might have gone to pot due to the volume of traffic your system was having to deal with. Mine went too a couple of times and when we were all in Rapides earlier, I had basically no ground texture (green/brown mush!) and even the panel was a blur. Wasn't too bad in the Blenheims though as Rick hasn't bumped up the poly's on it  Talking of bumps.. Rick tells me that DG uses bump-mapping on the Rapides and that's probably why lower-end systems (like mine) can't handle having so many in view at the same time. My frames were down to 2.. 2.1 which is as low as it will go  Great fun on the last flight though and even on here, totally useable.

Looking forward to our next encounter

Don't worry, I should be in something a little faster next time!

It was a bit of a struggle keeping the Chipmunk over 100kts though. I use PgUp and Down for my trim in FS9, and I'd forgotten to bind it in FSX. Of course, with that settings problem, I couldn't bind it in mid flight, so I spent the entire leg having to compensate by pushing forward on the stick... which was tiring.

Hi Dave

Might be the bump mapping but possibly you need to unload some of the passengers as they look so good they must be lots of polys. :worried:

dunno really as i can't see much over the FS9 version otherwise that would make it slower to render :dunno:

FSX seems more strangled by textures (high numbers of /& or 32 bit) than high poly models

HI Tweek

You can use the mousewheel on the trimwheel in the VC if you get stuck

Tks for that Rick  TBH.. the v2 Rapide has been 'thirstier' on frames from the word go.. due in probability to the pax you mentioned. Can't say I've noticed the one that's supposed to look like me.. just missing the pipe :worried:

I found a crappy mic set in the drawer. Don't know how to use the chat facility. I am communicating through chat window. :dunno:
