Hi Ady :)

Rgr that ;) Unfortunately, ALL aircraft get penalised for exceeding 250kias below FL100.. it's an FSA 'thing' we have no control over.

How badly penalised?

Might just be able to keep the speed down but V2 is 220 at high gross weights so 250 is below safety speed (V2 plus 40 for Concorde) that is quite a safety risk up to FL100 unless I seriously reduce passenger numbers, will try it out tomorrow before start the proper training flights.

Hi Ady :)

Your flight rating will be hit.. there are no consequences for the VA. Appreciate Concorde is a special case and would have been cleared to do it's 'own thing' IRL but as I mentioned earlier.. this is an FSA rule we have no control over. Exceed 250kias below FL100 and flight tracker will 'ping' it. Personally, I don't agree with many of the FSA penalties but we are stuck with them. As far as I can remember.. the others are:
Landing lights off below 1000ft
Landing lights on ABOVE FL100
Exceeding 25kts on the ground when not on a takeoff roll (eg, when taxiing)
Failing to end the flight with the parking brake off

These, along with exceeding 250kias below FL100 will hit your rating but have no impact on the VA. Things that WILL impact the VA are landing at the wrong airport and running out of fuel (even on the deck). You can declare a 'Divert' by clicking the 'Divert' button on Flight Tracker and land at a different airport. The system will (should) automatically book your flight from that airfield to the original (designated) airport. There is no impact on either the pilots rating or the VA when you declare a 'Divert'.

The full list is in the tutorial so there may be more. I'm not an active pilot these days so I may have forgotten one or more :worried: Try one or more flights offline but within the constraints of these rules before risking going 'Live'. This is always good policy ;)

OK, I do my best, left JFK this morning and with a fairly severe pitch up after rotation kept it down to 256 :|

LHR might be easier because it doesn't need the hand flown turn straight off the runway so I might get the autopilot in quicker and keep the speed down.

Baited breath and all that

Yes.. as if flying Concorde wasn't difficult enough, having to put up with FSA's 250kias rule complicates things yet further 8) I ended up flying a freeware model in the end which was less than satisfactory :wall: Think 'Noise abatement' but think it sooner and for longer

TR Training complete on Concorde.

RW work now gets in the way for a few days, might possibly do first revenue run at the weekend, if not then early next week if you can give me the rating please (pretty please).

Confirm ten revenue flights before requesting additionl TR?
