Managed to gain "Ace" status with 5 shot down:
Joe Cessna,
Pete Maule M7 + Mxt-7-180,
George Spitfire (I think George just wanted to get gold via his Caterpillar badge
),
Joe Maule MT + MXT-7,
Simon Airedale.
I don't want to clog up Ben's bandwidth or whatever you call it, so you chaps can share these:
Hold on there, "Ace".
You counted me twice. Which is like, killing me twice..
And that's highly illegal.
TaTaTa.. Rata tat Tat.

That was fun for those who could see it.
The next is not so generic, but I've rated it as Silver.
JOE....

Not to say in contravention of the Geneva Convention, and you could get, like sued and sh*t. Isn't it, isn't it.

You got me! For a lad with limited sources of research, you've done well, and done it quickly, Joe.
You'll be pleased to hear that "gauche red" has been replaced by "droit green" for the new Caterpillar badge. Owing to COVID restrictions, the presentation boxes will no longer be supplied.
The interesting back story that I came across, was that it had performed very well until Germany over-ran Holland. An example was secretly flown to England to let the Allies learn from it. In true pompous style, the authorities left the aircraft in the open until it disintegrated.

A change of shape this time.
As some posts say that the image isn't showing, would anyone who can't see the picture please let me know.
We'll sort that out before anyone gets any award. Thanks, I do want this to be fun, not frustrating.
I always preview and ensure that the image is included before posting, so something is happening after my post, and I don't want to put anybody out.
