Hmm, this is strange. I'm not a member of AOPA either but I've never been prompted to sign up for anything. :dunno: I only visit AOPA's website when viewing the video that Peter posts. I wonder if you're prompted to sign up for the newsletter if you visit more often. *-)

It's an info harvest is what it is.
I think AOPA has a YouTube channel they upload their videos to.
