Chris, if you want to see it corrected it in the next patch you need to post it on the FTX forum. Loads of people are doing it and they are noting all the discrepancies with a view to fixing as many as they can. If you don't tell them then it won't get finished. They ask for a screenshot with the info turned on showing the co-ordinates and ideally a google earth comparison.

You nailed that one Paul. Looks like the snow shovel brigade has a little more work to do on the upper right corner of the field.

Yikes! Thanks Brian. I wonder if ACG could be persuaded to do some snowy winter textures for Duxford. To my mind, it is their flagship release, and Orbx will never be able to better it. I'll post something on their forum. :)

Anybody still running FTX England?

Are you experiencing blurries? There have been a few people on the FTX forum who happily run other FTX sceneries with no problems but have been experiencing some texture loading problems in the England scenery causing blurries. England has more autogen than the other FTX sceneries but before turning it down it might be worth trying this.

I've just been reading the latest thread in this vein. After trying 'everything', the fix was to set the FPS limiter in FSX to 30. This works in combination with two settings in Nvidia Inspector. Frame Rate Limiter = Off, Vertical Sync = 1/2 Refresh Rate.

I've mentioned this before as part of Kosta's recommended settings and it's what I run anyway. I can't comment on how England runs on my settings though as I don't have it but if you do have this problem it will only take two minutes to give this fix a try.

FTX England?? Oh yeah, that. ;) I'm still using her and am not seeing the texture issue. Here's a screenie of my latest acquisition...the Vickers Supermarine Spitfire Mk IV from JustFlight. It's the one you get free with any purchase. :) Didn't know that Vickers was ever involved with Supermarine. :dunno:

Yes indeed. If you happen to have a Viking handy and you pull the elevators off (for example).. you'll see Supermarine manufacturing plates on them :)

I think the main date/year on the calendar was 1928.. this is when Vickers-Armstrongs took over Supermarine. Supermarine still continued to design and build for a few years after that though.. can't remember the year I'm afraid but aircraft released in the interim were often refered to as Vickers Supermarine :) A quick check in 'Vickers Aircraft' shows that Supermarine and it's other half, Vickers (Aviation) Ltd operated as such until 1938 when both became Vickers-Armstrongs Ltd which later became Vickers-Armstrongs (Aircraft) Ltd. It's all go innit

That Spitfire's well camouflaged, Brian. I could only see two roundels until I put my specs on

I downloaded it with the Pacer pack but I haven't installed it yet because I've got the A2A one with Accusim. Unfortunately that makes it too realistic and due to bad engine management I destroy a merlin every time I take it up :( fortunately they give you a workshop along with the model.

I thought it was a bit over the top until I recently read a vivid description of flying one by a Battle of Britain pilot who had the same problem as me until he got the hang of it

Glad to hear you've got no blurries with the scenery
