Re: John offline a while - in hospital!
For XR 219: Unusually for the present day NHS Mrs Hobby is in an all female four bed ward, there is however one very suspicious character in one bed so I was much relieved to hear that John was safely home a couple of days ago.
Today is the key day.

Re: John offline a while - in hospital!
Glad to here you are back at home again John and hope you are soon returned to full health.
James, I hope your wife is over her present health problems very quickly and manages to avoid troubling the surgeon.
I know how worrying this must be for you. Please pass on my best wishes.
Graham

Re: John offline a while - in hospital!
Well it is a bit like being back in the RAF.
At short notice after a day without food or water the operation on was cancelled due to unserviceable equipment (medical equipment). We have been promised that as soon as equipment is OK the op will be on!!
No cure for this one, even if op is successful, these episodes of extreme spinal/hip/leg pain will increase in frequency. Best hope is for a successful op to kill the pain and medication to limit the progress of degradation. We have had a good run of nine years without a recurrence which the surgeons regard as very, very good and somewhat unusual.
Chuff factor decreased markedly here last evening but sun is shining today.
