Hi Kevin..
I mentioned it as it looks.. well.. unusual taken on the Canon too. Nice colour tones you don't usually see. Perhaps the indifferent lighting on the day had something to do with it

Interestingly, the effect is even more pronounced on the ailerons.

As soon as I saw the twilight take off of the Air France DC3 I thought of that evocative piece of music "Night flight to Tangier." One can imagine mysterious characters played by Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Alfie Hitchcock, Peter Laurie, 'the Third Man' or Robert Mitchum aboard, off to far lands for ulterior motives! accompaniede by suitable music but not in the intrusive music style used unnecessarily by so many TV producers today.
This any good?

Yes you're right Dave, even if he is one of our northern cousins

I prefer the coloured photo but thank you for posting the 'retro' photo.

Not sure of the destination, but the Channel Islands would be a good guess.
I've seen it at Duxford at previous diplays. Always worth strolling along the flightline after the dislpay, as there is always a lot of aircraft activity. One of the Black Cat Lynx arrived back around this time and repeated about half of his display before landing.

Oh right I remember seeing a KLM Fokker 50's at Legends done a charter flight from Holland. But did they park the ATR on the apron as its too heavy for the grass unlike the F50's.
