HI Leif
Bearing in mind that owners and operaters may not be the same, it was at the time of it's demise operated by V.H. Bellamy
Does that ring a bell??

Another colour shot (amongst others) of the Viv Bellamy machine via the key Publlshing forums:

Viv Bellamy was a giant in the post-war British aviation field. He well deserves a thread of his own.
Best wishes

Perhaps you might like one in London Transport colours

Only if they come two at a time!
I think I'll wait until someone does a FDE. In the meantime I'll have a tinker with the panel.

Simon -
If you use the Ito mdl with the Lee Holmes air file you can get a pretty good machine. Unfortunately the VC is part of the KI mdl, so there is a mismatch there if you use the LH panel, but the 2D cockpit is OK, although the boost gauge seems to be working backwards...I am thinking of trying the JBK Scylla 2D panel instead.
For the aircraft.cfg, I kept the top part of the KI file (all the [flightsim.xx] bits) and replaced the bit below that with the corresponding chunk of the LH aircraft.cfg. I then disabled the wheel contact points ( // at the top three lines) and pasted in the ones from the KI file.
I also aliased the sound to the Dave Garwood Rapide. It all works well, and flies as I would expect a plane from that era to. Right now, it is a 'keeper' but the panel deserves improvement.
Cheers
MikeW
(Edited to clarify that I am using the Lee Holmes panel)

Keep Ito's lights settings in the CFG otherwise it seems a bit odd with lights 20 foot away from the plane

Thanks for the tips on the model and I will change them when I have a moment. I did a flight yesterday, when I got her off the ground, on the autopilot. She would only climb at 195-200KIAS and could just maintain height at 170. Is that what everybody else has been getting?
