No, but we're at lead heading back in the right general direction, just not far enough. I have a couple more pics of this airfield from 1919 but at least one of them would completely give the game away. Keep guessing, its actually more obvious than it looks :D

My next guess is croydon. It was extensively rebuilt by 1920. ?

Late in on this..

I dunno where that construction site is but I'm reasonably certain its NOT Croydon. It didn't have hangars that shape prior to being rebuilt and it didn't have em after being rebuilt. The roof angle is much too shallow :)

Any prize for saying where it's not Toby??

The rate you lot are going if I gave out prizes for where its not, I'd be asking for a govt. bail out in pretty short order if I did that! Honestly you'll kick yourselves. These very buildings can even be found in FS if you have the right scenery add-ons installed ;-) :tab:

That narrows it down then. Ben was the first to take a shot at No.2 with Farnborough so I guess we're into Hampshire. Now.. where's Hampshire

Spot on Dave!

I acquired three photos from an Argentinian post card dealer on ebay (as you do), showing the construction of these hangars, the hangars that became the terminal and the two pairs of Belfast truss hangars all dated 1919.

Heres the same hangars in 1961 above the nose of the aircraft. I think they were demolished in 1989 or 1990.

Knowing your connections it had crossed my mind, but on further research (after your 1919 date) I convinced myself that must be a year to two too early!
