Hi,
My impression of this photo is that it probably is about 1967 - the BEA Comets are still present, along with the Sahara, so it's probably still in the 60's. The VC-10 is there, and those might be Supers at the top of the image? (introduced in 1965).
The building seems to be there as in the architect's model image. The right edge of the building in this image is the top of the model. There have been at least 3 fingers added to the building - two at the top of the image, and the one in the foreground appears to still be under construction (i.e. the jetways are not yet in use). There has been what appears to be a parking structure built in the model's parking lot, with two tall elevator shaft housings on top of the roof.
Note there appears to be a BEA Viscount parked at the very bottom of the image, blocking one of the taxiway exits from the terminal. They were overcrowded even then.
