Not going to have a chance to fly em til tonight as I am about to go to work. Although I have just had a quick 'look round' both aircraft.

Looks like the 767 eats more PC than the 757.

Oh well. Might have to move thoses sliders a little more to the left when flying her. :agree:

727 has no issues. ;)

Might have to apply wife's rules. - Any gift I buy for myself automatically results in a gift for the wife at double the value.
So you need to buy her an FS addon to the value of £20 *-)

It only appears to be their download shop. The price is nice (even when converting to US $) but I walked away as soon as I got to that little note about internet connection required for install / reinstall. To many problems in the past with this sort of setup.

Hi Dutchman2 :hello:

One problem I saw (though only a small one) is that the £9.95 price doesn't include a couple of things.. one of them being VAT 8) Other than that.. don't be put off by the 'internet connection required' for the install. Some of my CS models (the C130 being one) have gone straight on but the 757 simply wouldn't. You can get around the problem (officially) by choosing 'remote' activation when you install. You have to generate a code file which you use to get an activation code file back from CS. This is primarily for use where the download model isn't to be used on a pc with an internet connection and it works ok.. with a little reading on the support forum first. It doesn't explain why the 757 would ONLY install this way but it got it up and running.. something I'd have been unable to do without this service being available ;)

The price is €9.99 which came to £9.25 paying with PayPal - no mention of VAT.

 D'oh! I wasn't going to buy anything :wall:

That's about fifty quid I've spent on REX, Carenado and now CS. Would somebody please shut this payware section down immediately :S

It's going to be a miserable christmas for the present Mrs Speedbird and cyberbrat ...

Ian ;)

Hmm.. I payed by Paypal/SWREG and the lot came to $28.56 USD 8) A couple of quid for backup service and the aforementioned VAT bring it to that.

Just downloaded the legendary 727 and made a few touch and goes.
No installation issues at all and all values stuck at € 9,99,- until finished... :)

Nice thing, great looks, many gadgets such as the talking crew and stuff. Good looking model.
Sadly a miserable VC that forces you to use the 2D panel.
A circumstance that'll make me board my 1-11 again soon. :S

Best wishes,

Nick

Hi Nick! It all comes back to that bloody 1-11 in the end, doesn't it? It sets the standard for classic jetliners! And leaves them all wanting in one area or another

Like you, I downloaded the 727, but unlike you I don't use the VC for flying. I already use Erick Cantu's Vistaliner model with Richard Probst's 2D panel (as hosted at HJG) but I was curious about the CS model and have long wanted to compare them. Initial impressions are that I prefer my existing models and panel over the CS. But it may be that I'm just too familiar with them. I'll run a comparison for a week or two before I decide :)

Dave - I've checked my PayPal account again and I've definitely only been charged €9.99/£9.25 with no VAT added.
