Yes, based on the Eagle Squadrons of US volunteers who joined the RAF. For 73.5 kills they lost 77 pilots so you do wonder if everyone would have been better off if they'd stayed at home...

One shouldn't laugh at the loss of 77 pilots and I'm not.. far from it. However, that comment did make me titter :agree:

If there is budget for a monstrosity like that, why not have three life-size Spitfires, in a 'missing man' formation?
