Daylight Savings Time was a good idea when it was put in place, saved money for the war effort. Today it actually costs more money than it saves. Time for an old, outdated institution to go the way of the dodo.

Stoutly traditional Qld won't have a bar of these new-fangled ideas. Our dairy cattle don't fade, and the curtains yield the same amount of milk all year ;)

Actually, there is some benefit in the southern states, but the closer you get to the tropic, the less there is to gain.

I'm generally up about 0430 anyway - a habit I've acquired here, and something unthinkable in the Scottish Perth, from where I emigrated sometime around the middle of the last century B-)

Y'know, not having to mess with DST is one argument in favor of moving to Arizona. Darned rebels, they don't observe it.
