Hi Dave, I am 99% sure that this is the mesh I have as I remember reading the read me text file from the author stating that he had not tried them out in FS2004 but had been told they work well. I can vouch for that myself as this mesh gives good looking mountain ranges and hills which is all I really want.
I wondered if it was Terramesh which was also for FS2002 but also works in FS9.. no other reason for asking According to the readme, you have to make a folder in 'Scenery' (not Scenery/World/Scenery) for each geographic area then in each one of these, a scenery folder as we've already discussed above. You then download and extract the areas mesh files to that folder (eg Scenery/SRTM1/Scenery or whatever it is that particular area is called)
Hmmm, my brain is not keeping up with this, from what you are saying then these mesh files do not go into Scenery/World/Scenery but instead go into Scenery Add On then select it through the Add Area and move it down towards the bottom? Sorry, just now showing my ignorance here.
One question is the mesh appears to work when placed directly into Scenery/World/Scenery file, should I now take them out and do it the other way?
I shall now go into the corner and wear my white hat with the word pr*ck on it!!
Regards
Nigel.

No.. that's not what I said. Shall we go and have a quick beer first
You have to remember that FS has changed a little since FS2000 and according to the readme for that software, the mesh will work with FS2000, 2002 and FS9. Thats a lot to ask of any FS software but every now and again, we get lucky
You will see a main Scenery folder and inside that lots of sub folders.. Afri, Asia, Aust e t c. How the readme describes the installation is to make new folders in the main Scenery folder for each area and to put a scenery folder inside each of these. You then put the files for each area into these new folders. You don't make the new folders in Scenery/World/Scenery but in the main Scenery folder. I don't know what areas you have (you say Europe but I don't know how many areas that covers in Europe). However, as you have them all together in one big group.. you could make a new folder in the main Scenery folder called Terrain1 and inside that, another file called Scenery. All your mesh files would go into the Scenery/Terrain1/Scenery folder Does that make sense?
Hi Dave Before you go to the bar for some really stiff drinks to ease your building frustration ..............YES, finally got it!!!!
Will print that out and follow it to the letter!!
Now I will definately leave you in peace so that you can enjoy a beer or two, will have to try and get down your way one day and buy you a couple for being soooo patient.
Kind regards and many thanks
Nigel.

Don't worry Nige. The bottom line here.. if it works where you have it and you're getting the same performance from FS and no errors.. does it really matter if you move them to where they should be I guess you're like me.. if something should do something or go somewhere.. it has to be there or do something otherwise you won't rest
