Having a 'bump' in front of you means upgrade to 1st class if I am working the train! Seats much more comfortable.

Why???!

There are a lot of people with medical conditions that make travel difficult and uncomfortable but get no assistance whatsoever.

Just because they might look 'normal' when dressed there is nothing wrong according to the "great" judgmental public.

Just a point. One has been charged a fortune for your train ticket, and if you are luckily enough to get a seat on the train should you be expected to give it up . *-)

Roger..You could have gone with the healthy option and had "wholemeal" bread instead.

If you'd gone private they might have thrown in a boob job - problem solved - couple of new ones added perchance.... :worried:

If I think you are going to find it difficult to travel then I (and other guards) will always go that bit further to help. It's what we do.

Thats nice to know. :)

However when the train gets as packed as it does with our particular journey then the guards don't bother walking through the train.

There is simply no room to walk down the aisle as its full of people stood here there and everywhere.

It reminds me of a Columbian Mountain bus. The only thing missing is a crate of chickens on the roof.

I used to laugh so hard sometimes when you'd get a guard who was adamant about checking every bodies ticket at rush hour.
He'd be at the other end of the train when approaching a station and everybody would get up and crowd the doors/isle. Cue train waiting at the platform for several minutes as he fights his way back to release the door interlocks

Don't really see guards like you used to do in the good old days.

I feel for them these days especially with all the anto social drunken behaviour they have to put up with. :S
