Depends where she drove herself to on that one occasion though Allan. Off the edge of a cliff would've been worth it by the sound of things

Sadly, Dave, she was visiting me and drove up in my son's car. Time had obviously not improved her driving because when he got out of the car his face was grey!
When they left he made damn sure he was in the driving seat.

I laugh but it's really not funny. Sounds like my mum. My dad tried to get her to drive many moons ago in his Reliant Robin days. He maintains to this day that she is the only person who could run off the side of a runway (she did too.. I was in the back at the time)
He persevered for a while but a fear of repair bills he couldn't afford meant he never saw it through to the bitter end. This selfless act by my dad has made UK roads a safer place to be on
