I guess it'll bed in, but first sight of the new interface robbed me of a few brain cells I really needed for something else, like......................erm........dammit.....<sigh>

I think i prefer the old Avsim,it was much easier to use imho.

I'm yet to be able to see the new/revised/updated/improved (or whatever) AVSIM. All I get is a page with AVSIM bits down each side and nothing else, no library or new arrivals list and no way of downloading at all. I do get a little note at the bottom of my page saying "errors on page" - nothing like stating the obvious - but that's it.

Looks like I'm limited to Simviation/Flightsim.com for the forseable future - my options seem to be deminishing.

Anyone else getting the same (non) result as me?

Hi Allan

No.. not seeing any errors. As for files and downloading.. you move your mouse over the Library button and select from the drop down list. From the next page, you can select latest files, hot files e t c as before and files have the same options as before.. download, zip and view. I'm surprised it all looks so good on my system as I'm still on IE7 and many new sites are built to IE8 or even IE9 spec and go to rats when viewed on the older browser.
I noticed javascript on the bottom LH corner of various pages while loading but no ' done but with errors on page ' .. something I see on other sites

What Library button? I'm not seeing anything other than the AVSIM Privacy Policy statement at the top and the admin column each side of the page, nowt else - perhaps I have the economy version????

I'm sure the answer will come to me in due course, meantime I'll soldier on with Flightsim/simviation and the other suspects.

I was hoping someone would say "you need a new PC old chum" then I could use said statement as ammunition in the official lobbying for cash to SWMBOWQ. A well, back to the knees and a pleading look.

Someone over at SOH says avsim.com as a URL (which he had been using) now does not work properly, you must use www.avsim.com

Tried the link and it worked. Success!! Now I can see what everyone has been talking about - it is a bit "busy" isnt it?

TELL SWMBOWQ I need a new PC! Are you mad, don't the NHS have enough problems without me being in intensive care? No, no, it's the softly softly touch just behind the right ear with a baseball bat, amazing what she'll agree to whilst concussed. As for when she recovers, well I didn't want to live much longer anway..............
