Passengers ? No Dave, I daren't attempt to model passengers. I believe that they have to be either done very well so as to appear totally realistic or just left to folks' imagination. Nothing worse than a set of dummies in the back IMHO. Also, I was running at about 56,000 polys leaving very few left for a set of stuffed shirts (it
is election time

) .
I don't know why your aircraft flies one-wing-low - assuming, that is, that your joystick/yoke is correctly centred (I'm forever catching the rudder trim on mine).

However I am sometimes at a loss to know what you are discussing on this you seem to post in a sort of code, this topic I assume, refers to the FSX De Havilland DH 84 Dragon Revision on Flt sim correct me if I am wrong.
Please can I respectfully ask you to be more clear on your topics so that an old (you Know what) like my self will understand what the hell you are referring to.

Notice the trim is MUCH finer now.. a bit too fine me thinks but Keith should be happy

She's no longer aerobatic and I'm seeing a slight left wing down tendency.. push it over to the right.. let it settle and it will eventually start dropping the left wing. Nothing drastic and completely manageable. No obvious reason for this. Burn is equal. As I don't see any pax.. I presume none are there (a quick look at the cfg shows pilot, 6 pax plus baggage!!). Pax appear to be equidistant about the centreline fore/aft and baggage is on the CoG so that can't be it

As I said.. no real problem
Nice one Dave

I presume DaveB that you are flying her in FSX...why she goes left wing down I have no idea....she does it with me, but not in FS9. I also think the trim operates finer in FSX rather than FS9 & she needs more of it (about 15° nose down in FS9 & about 19° in FSX IIRC) . I must run her again in FSX with AFSD to see if I can track the left wing low problem!
Keith
P.S. Just tried her in FSX with AFSD & there is nothing untoward indicated, although she is very, very slow to come to wings level after a turn, she needs a bit of assistance, so that might be the problem. I have my controls set to default levels. Why it went left for me during testing I don't know, maybe I had my control sensitivity high & any slight slack in the joystick accentuates the return to zero?

Hi Keith
Yes mate.. FSX

I can't see any reason for the swing looking at the cfg either. It's often not noticeable due to the Dragon's window shape but if you pan down slightly to bring the horizon closer to the top of the screen.. you see it's off on a lefty

Just in case you're wondering.. I had RW turned off and windspeed set to zero too
What else was I going to say??.. oh yes.. joystick assignments and null zones e t c all default. It's certainly no big deal.. more of a silent irritant because I know it's doing it. Joystick is a little older than God's dog.. an MS Sidewinder Precision Pro.. nowt fancy.
I don't mind it being slow to return to centre. Much nicer having it this way than having to hang on all the way around the bend as you do with some models

Trouble is DaveB, with some real aircraft one does have to hold them all the way round the bend, some obviously more than others, as well as playing with the rudder a lot!
My Dragonfly WIP needs some fine tuning as contact in NZ describes it as being very much like a Tiger Moth, needing 'in turn' rudder during the initial part of the turn to counteract adverse yaw due to aileron drag, then wind off aileron when bank achieved, with resulting requirement for opposite rudder to keep the nose up, (as well as a touch of elevator), then of course at it again when going wings level. This can be very tricky, if not impossible, to achieve in FS9 or FSX. I must admit though that I don't think I was that detailed when I flew a Tiger, but I was concious of needing 'nose up' rudder when in the turn.
Anyway back on topic of your left wing low...I cannot now replicate what I experienced during testing & adjusting the FD, even putting reality to full!

Yeah.. appreciate that Keith and taken as read

Don't worry about the swing. Ironic that you were seeing it and now you're not.. I wasn't seeing it and now I am

It doesn't bother me. I thought I'd mention it.. no more

Thanks Mike, I had a laugh , not related to that Stan Unwin, my family were all Derbyshire Coal Miners, I was the first to break out of the pits, its 50 years since I left the pits and joined the RAF, where have the years all gone , not complaining, grateful to still be here.
Again thanks for the laugh
