I can just imagine them hurling round the top of the wall with the Lion's ears and mane flapping wildly the wind, with the lion sitting in terror & looking out of the corner of its eye at him and thinking "Right you, see when we're back down there, you've a'd it my old china...!"

My condolences to the family and friends of this remarkable man. What a record of accomplishment he had 487 different types of aircraft, Wow! At 97 he had a good innings but it would have been great to make that century.
