Re the haggis, I agree with Andy. The best ones are very nice, also hogmanay/ new years eve I find a bit of a non event.Having said which the Edinburgh fireworks and live bands are a real spectacle for the thousands that gather for the evening in the city centre.
As another Englishman in Scotland I think we'll need to ween the Scots off their bad habits! :hide: :hide: EricT
ps I'll have a dram while I think how to do it.
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!

Happy New Year folks.

Total non event here, kind of takes the interest out of it to watch celebrations from Toronto on TV which occured 3 hours previously :-(

Plus our plans were scuppered by late in the day snowfall which trapped us indoors.

On the +ve side, I did have an ample supply of Drambuie.

btw - good haggis has to be prepared in a sheep stomach to be genuine. Here I recently found a British shoppe which sells it infrequently in a plastic bag at inflated prices. :help: it went to the dog who liked it.

Stirs up B&W memories of Kenneth Mckellar and a female singer I can no longer remember the name of...
Moira Anderson!! It just came to me in a flash of something or other
