I was also surprised to see the on-screen message about leading edge slats to 100% as we were lining up. First I've heard of a Tiger Moth with that feature; read about it, and it is real.
HI Mike, yes, as real as it gets!!

I flew the Tiger Moth back in the 70's when in the gliding club, one of the instructors promised me a flight in one at the RAF Cranwell Flying Club. So one very wintry day with low overcast and bitterly cold winds we took off, a delightful a/c to fly but sadly due to weather conditions it was impossible to fly cross country and spent the time flying circuits.
As far as I can remember, the slats operated automatically as soon the speed dropped to 60kts and you also had to bear in mind that the Tiger Moth had no brakes and a tail skid. After our flight it took me a good hour to thaw out but would not have missed it for the world.
All a/c have been remodelled in V4.5 and now find the Hurricane quite heavy and slow to manoeuvre in flight, the Spitfire I am not sure about as it does appear quicker than in V4.3, apparently all models are near to the real aircraft though it would be very interesting to have some Spitfire or Hurricane pilots try these out and give their opinions.
Allen, really pleased to hear that you have now been able to download V4.5. Hope to see you in the virtual skies in one of the servers soon.
Regards
Nigel.
