I can honestly see XP catching and passing FSX and P3D in terms of user numbers. There is only so long that dated platform can hang on.
It's good to see the likes of Orbx planning their next gen products with the initial releases planned for XP and not FSX/P3D. Yes it's a big decision to leave behind the investments made in FSX but if I stuck to that mindset, I'd still be flying with FS98.
