God: Let there be light!

Man: What kind of light?

God: What do you mean what kind of light? Light is light innit?

Man: Well depends dunnit. What temperature of light you talking about when you said let there be light?

God: What do you mean what temperature? It's pretty cold up here but I imagine it's a bit warmer down there. Or at least sometimes it is - depends on what mood I'm in.

Man: Well, is it a cool white, a warm white or what?

God: I give up. Sod the light!

And so man spent many, many years in darkness...

Scientifically speaking... white is the presence of all colors and black is the absence of color.

Uh ohh.

That applies to light, but when mixing paint, dyes or pigments the rule is reversed.

I wonder. Is colour mixing a pigment of your imagination?
