at the rear of the canopy frame, the cut-outs for the intake by-pass ducts should be square, it seems like its' still using the Sea Harrier profile.

I'll try and 'doctor' one of yer screenies to show you.

IIRC all the unique identification numbers like 'buzz' numbers and squadron codes/badges etc. were painted over once the task force got 'in theatre', except for the aircraft serial number.

(I've worked on both variants and the T-birds)

Ps for Kit, the Hermes is an old Alphasim model 'doctored' by Dave Garwood, you should find it at the usual download sites.

Should I 'paint' out the tail number, then? :dunno:

I've got .jpgs of the GR3s on deck on the 'Atlantic Conveyor' and they don't show any fin codes, or indeed anything bar the roundels, fin stripes and serials. The earliest 'on-board' shots were taken off Ascension Island, so that's pretty early in the conflict.

I also have some black and white shots of the ski-jump trials just before they shipped out, and that a/c shows no unit markings either. That also goes for the singleton a/c that did the clearance trials for Sidewinders on the GR3 as well.

It looks as if they 'blanked' them before they left UK, certainly by the time they boarded the 'AC' at Ascension.

I'snt there a pic somewhere of one of them tanking from a Victor en route to Ascension?

Thanks for the pointer to the Hermes Motormouse, I'll go get it later tonight.

Kit,
many thanks for that. Can you mail, or otherwise point me in the direction of those photos?

Scratch my last comment. Just had another look athe picture. The ship is just off Ascension island so I can assume the a/c have been unwrapped ready for the trip South and were repainted and prepped accordingly.....

My job's pretty much done. I've released the paints and Matt's mdl and weapons pack back to UKMIL for BETA testing (as there will always be some very minor issues to iron out....)

Should be due for general release very soon!
