Amazing; I thought that you would swamp me with replies on this one.
Low wing monoplane, in-line engine, square cockpit, undercarriage located in the wing roots/fuselage.
Yes, it's a Messerschmitt factory, crowded with Bf 109s.
It was in fact, at Regensberg.

Pete (Motormouse) and Ben (TSR2) got it first time, while Eric scored gold for his second entry. Well done, lads.

The S.E.5a proved too much for most Spotters, but these Magnificent Men identified this Flying Machine:
Eric (Tomliner), Simon (simondix), Myles, PeteP, Mick (woody901), AllanL.
Well done, here' are your stacked badges, please take one:

PeteP took line honours, followed by Eric (Tomliner), Mick (woody901), Keith (Dev One), AllanL, Ben (TSR2), and Pete (Motormouse).
Depicted was apparently an Auster III being unloaded from a C-47 Dakota.
Those who did specify a Mk for the Auster, went for IV or V, but the caption definitely says III. Maybe there's not enough visible to be sure.
I was happy with Auster with or without further definition.
Grab 'em while they're still warm:

Thanks for your entries, it makes it worthwhile.
