Me being very lucky to be one of the beta testers thought I would post a couple of pics I took this afternoon.
This model is excellent right down the detail in the tail hook, she traps and launches with 3 wire no problem at all.
Taxiing is a dream and throttle very responsive. I look forward to flying her some more as she progresses to the finished stage. This one is really going to be worth the wait to release. Brian and team have done an outstanding job.
Enjoy

Happy days at Culdrose, getting blown over by one of these on the dummy deck training to be an Aircraft Handler. They were painted blue with SAH stuck on the nose, also got to sit in a gnat pretending to be a Harrier on the dummy deck.
Here is an uncaptioned sequence of a quick circuit in the beta Sea Vixen:-
Note to the builders...The tip streamers effects trigger needs adjusting as it seems to run all the time the aircraft is airborne.
Note to Jonesey...last files for Military taxiway lighting will be emailed today.
Note to everyone...This machine is lovely to fly, even at this stage in its beta...I find it hard to understand why ALL landings seem to be greasers
BTW...These shots view best with your curtains pulled
I'm pleased to hear your comments about the landings. I fly the Alphasim version and find smooth landings difficult as balancing power, speed and descent rate seems quite difficult.
I understand that landing speed should be about 125kt but I find that I need the spoiler on to keep to this speed and this results in high descent rates.
The team are hoping for September at present. The latest beta (from Friday) gives some idea of the level of detailing they are looking for with loads of grab handles and whip aerials appearing, giving it a very authentic almost 'cluttered' look. I hope the aircrew match this detailing, when they are put in place. As for flying, she is a complete joy!!!!
