Thanks Simon

Specifically

Good clear shots of both approaches

The Hangar and associated buildings

And one thing thats been puzzling me - on Pooleys airport diagram - it appears the taxiway that goes from infront of
the hangar to the smaller apron area goes on to become the access road - Im also assuming from what you said
the smaller area with Portacabin and glider trailer is actually used by SAR as a helipad????

Leif

The approach shots are so I can judge that I have the runway located correctly againts the exisiting scenery rather than just
hope for the best with FS9s rather odd lat/lon settings ;)

Thanks a million to both of you - hopefully I can produce something that will be a worthy addition ;)

In the mean time - some roughs of Broadford/Ashraig - I cant find an Identifier for it at present so I have it listed as
EGSZ - if anyone knows what it really is I'd appreciate it :)

as I said these are roughs at present

I finally got the terrain contoured so it would work

Im going to keep some of the gorse growing through the tarmac as it feels right for a little used airstrip ;-)

Thanks

Hang in there Leify ;-)

I came across a Portacabin while driving around FlyTampa Vienna last night in Hama's Stalwart (believe me.. it's big enough and the Stalwart is ideal because all the AI drivers are women!!). Dunno if it can be extracted :dunno:

Hi,

BTW, if you want to eliminate the hold short markings, just make the taxiways around the hold short node about 1 ft wide and they will go away...

Hope this helps,

Need to ask a couple more silly questions of those who make scenery;

Im waiting for the promised photos of Broadford and if they look like they tally with what Ive built I will make it available at the Pond :)

This is for PeterM and company.....

I'm working on a couple of little scenery pieces that Im putting together for the guys at VHA (a couple of quite visible and famous shipwrecks off the
north coast of Lanai. I have found in the VOZ scenery library 4 bgls of ship wrecks, and I'd like to place them into the exsisiting Lanai scenery - using
EZ-Scenery - however when I try I get an error message saying that its unable to compile as the library is not in EZ-Scenery format. Is there a way of
transfering them into EZ-Scenery libraries or alternativly - Ive managed to take the two ships and converted them to xml format - can I change the
lat/lon and the elevation and orientation in the xml file, recompile them to bgls and rename them and place them in the hawaiian scenery files?
and if I do that do I also need to locate the textures and place them in the main texture file for fs9????

Thanks

Leif

Lief, yes carefull editing of the XML file is as good as any then recompile I often do that rather than mess with compiling a EZ library for something that will rarely be used.

If decompiled from a bgl you should have a mdl file, right click it then open with note pad most will be gibberish but you should find text reference to what bmp's make up the texture.

When recompiling make sure the mdl file is in the same folder as your xml that is to be recompiled, suspect you know that already

Cheers Rich

Thats what I thought - My problem had been just that - dcompiling yet another EZ-Library - Ill give it a go your way - It makes sense and Im hoping will be simpler to pass along to the other guys at the VA :)

most sources don't give an ICAO code, just the IATA of SKL

but from there: http://flug.urlaubswerk.de/Fluege-Gro%C ... rd/FP-SKL/

and this also: http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/06ai ... ICAO-E.htm

and http://www.pilotfriend.com/World%20airf ... ingdom.htm

so EGE01 or EG01 - which is the correct latitude/longitude?

the actual CAA identifier appears to be X6BR and I have it set that way - Thanks toGraham

Although by lat/lon the "isle of Skye" listing for EGEO1 is correct

Preciate the info there Ian
