Rich wrote:John, this is a extract of his suposed mdl file opened in notepad, if this is his work why is the copy right listed as Copyright 2003 Felix Rodriguez, Felix is/was a genuine modeler living in The US and note the date 2003.

He needs to be put off doing it again, scroll to the bottom to see the copyright.
I don't dispute that this chap needs guidance on what he should and shouldn't do, but as far as I can establish Felix Rodriguez offers his source code to fellow developers free of charge, so I doubt this factor is an issue.

I think several of you guys are taking this too serious. Mr Marrero have used more bitmaps signed Henry William in his now deleted upload than those bmps you are unhappy whith. I've painted many of the bmp's in his upload, and many of the mentioned upload i don't care about (signed by me). He have used more of my work than some few bmps you people are complaining about (with no credit??).

But hear people, let us be reasonable. Let this be an Hobby and let Mr Marrero be included in our club of freeware contributors. Im pretty sure that he is an Heron Enthustiast and NOT a cheater, liar or whatever you think he is. Probably he did his upload in he's best intention showing he's love for the Heron

I feel really sorry for the manner you guys have treated Mr Marrero, its really sad...

He used our stuff without permission

Doesn't matter how much...he used it

He had been told before.but ignored e-mails

He has behaved badly

That is not taking it too seriously that is protecting our copyright.

It is sad the way he has treated us..it is not sad the way he has been treated by us.

Garry Russel, I've allways regarded you as a man of honor, but remember that Mr Marrero have very little understandanding of the English language. I think that spanish is the language he speaks. I still insist that you guys have mistunderstood his love for the Heron.

Henry

Things should not be used without permission.....he has been contacted before

The language thing does not come into it.... it is the same anywhere.....don't use other people's work without permission.

We have not understood his love of the Heron.......and that does not give him the right to use stuff

The rules on the upload sites state this as well and so it was withdrawn

He also appears to have been selling it as part of a packge

He is in the wrong not us

Don't question my honour either...

Henry

Don't insist I do anything.........tell Mr Marrero to treat the comunity with more respect

Now....I am getting a little tired of you complaining because we are protecting our copyright.

As far as your stuff is concerned you do what you wish but don't dictate to us..

Mr Marrero is wrong here not us

Now let this be an end or I will lock this thread
