The VC10 auto throttle is restricted to 180 in FSX & FS9. Has been like that for a long time in FS9.
In FS9 you could always use the alternate 'modern' auto pilot (from the Learjet) if you had to have auto throttle in cruise.
I had broke that feature with the initial FSX fixes, but it is fixed again in that last download. Auto throttle is not restricted when using the modern auto pilot.
BUT - try as I may, I can't get any 'modern' auto throttle to work in FSX!! No surprise there really.
I've had both the Lear_45_XML.cab (FSX version) and Lear_45.gau (FS9 version) providing the 'modern' alternative in FSX. All seems ok, except for the auto throttle which is bonkers.
And it's not my code messing about either, it only seems capable of selecting speeds over 330 kt. it just don't work properly. HELP
