Actually there's not much difference in respect to the XML-code for the Datum Adjust, the difference is in the calculation of the VS.... but let's see how it turns out.

Btw. have you set the meters/feet variables etc. in the General settings or are you using the Default Values?

That's a variable in itself Dan and not always reliable. Some gauges, while showing for example feet per second will display for example meters per second using mouselook. A lot depends on how the gauge is coded in the first place :)

Hi Dan,
Values are default - it's not something I've actually looked at before.

Time for some sleep I think  - I'll have another look at this tomoz...

With one of DM's model...maybe the One Eleven I just remembered something

That is you have to turn the Autopilot on by the switch as if you use 'z' it may not work properly

Am I imagining this.....or is it someones else model

Anyway....wonder about the Ten in this respect...worth a try

Of course maybe you have been all along :dunno:

Ah ha! Dates of CAB files! Mine are dated 12/04 which is just before DM fiddled with them to please the FSX boys. And my AP works fine.

So it looks as though DM's changes to the CAB are what's causing the problem. I reckon if you go back to the old CAB it should be OK.

Maybe ...

Hi Guys - Garry - I always use the switch - although I did try using 'Z' on a seperate try to see if it was working 'opposite' - no luck as you say.

Ian - you may have hit the nail on the head - unfortunately, I formatted the old C drive in May, and I previously didn't store downloads - although I hit Mr Maltby's site on 31 May and downloaded the lot.... :bandit: - so all I have are the new files

The thing is, I did reinstall the VC10 prior to the old PC going down - but I was spending most of my time buzing around in the HS748 - so although it was the newer '10 I didn't really fly it between June and August (at least not enough to notice anything untoward - which may not be hard as it's only the lack of going up with Datum adjust)

I think, before I do anything else, I'll install the *entire* DM fleet and see how the other A/C perform under autopilot.......

You don't have to reinstall the whole thing, just replace the cab file and you'll be on your way.
