That post was purely a response to Leif mentioning the BOAC/BEA training and I was not aware of anything said earlier :think:

Garry -- I can understand - I see three different civilain operators of Chipmunks in the thread so far................

didnt Leavesden Aviation operate a number as well?

We saw the Hamble ones who repostioned here after complaints about noise nuisance at Hurn where they used to fly to,

Ironic given the amount of One-Eleven testing at the time.

I think it was more about getting people getting their hands on real estate. back to Chipmunks in general and Ricks paint kit.....just saw screenies of the Powder Blue Chipmunk :) Look for it at the pond soon.

Back to the Berlin Chippie's.....My book shows i flew on WG486 and i believe WG466....which i think went to the BBMF....must dig out my photos...

And for Leif....I am sure i showed you this...?

Tony,

Very interesting photos. The Broussard at Eggesford (No.208 and now G-YYYY) used to patrol the French Sector from 1976-1982 and we believe was the only aircraft of its type to see service in Berlin.

Thats really interesting Martin....I If i recall correctly i think the Americans also flew the PC6 or similar when i was out there....i'll have to look into that....I think the French also flew something after your bird.... :think:
