The code will have to be compiled into the model, so it's not something that can be added afterwards.
If it works, I don't see any reason why you could not have different deck configurations set to display with different frequencies

Now, where did I put that Hermes model

Yo de do

Just put the v2 AR IV into FSX and my word.. what a difference .dds and a bit of tidying up have made. I'm locked at 25fps on the XP3200 and it flickered to 21.4 on the odd occassion. Excellent work. Even managed to catch the wire in the Sea Vixen first time out in many many months  Now.. if only I could remember how to launch in FSX

Great job guy's

Nice one Dave!

Glad you saw an improvement with the Ark 2.2, dont worry, I always forget how to launch in FSX too lol.

That Chap who did the recent Nimitz certainly raised the bar with Freeware Ship Add ons, it has certainly made us go back to the drawing board a little with the HMS Victorious we are working on...... So what was that talk of a Hermes somewhere??!?! That sounds interesting if someone is working on it! :)

Cheers,

Sketchy.

DG pulled the ski jump off the ex Alpha Hermes he modded to give us another lovely flat top to play with. Ben set it up as AI in FSX and it spends much time tooing and froing to Gib and back ICW Rick's (as yet) unfinished Glamorgan. I think the seed I set in place re removal/addition of FD hardware 'on the fly' has captured his imagination so he'd getting the toolbox out when he gets home tonight ;-) Dunno if Ben ever managed it but I don't have any launch/capture facility on the FSX Hermes so it's helo's only unless you force a very stiff headwind or fly something incredibly slow!

I think I just managed the Hawk in a head wind on Hermes. :worried:

Its a very old model so, as I understand it, can't really have the nice bits added. At the time DG got permission to harden the deck so that it was landable in FSX, and later he was able to remove the ramp. Glam is an absolute stunner. Not sure how much Rick had still to do on her, but would have been great to see her sister ships too. I even bought a "Janes Fighting Ships" from '68 I think, as I fancied having a go, but like so much that goes on in my head, I never got started.

I would love the see the Glam, I saw some early pics of it some moons ago.

The old man was on that for 14months back in 70-71, did a complete world cruise on it following the Eagle, I'll have to post some pics.

But the addition of a new ship is always followed by the requests for the aircraft to match, Brian's Wessex was awesome FS9, would be great to see one in FSX too.

I'm currently en route back from the Lebanon. Once I get in to Heathrow, I'll take something down south. Think shes should be arround the Bay of Biscay at the moment... I'll take some shots when I find her. :cpu:

ICW Rick's (as yet) unfinished Glamorgan
Oh boy, I still can hardly wait for her... but then I can hardly wait for Rick's Sycamore either! ;-)

Seconded, thirded... :)
Nimitz certainly raised the bar with Freeware Ship Add ons
As does the Clemenceau, with her Alouette II plane guard. We certainly can't complain about quality freeware carriers for FSX, they're just not British! In the absence of AI carriers that can be reliably used in multiplayer I'd love to see a classic British carrier with a Wessex plane guard!
