I have extended the CGH™ free period accordingly Dave - unless of course you wish to take it to your boiler
Hope it all works out.....

Tks Colin

Today really has been a better day.. plenty of dosh spent and nowt on the boiler as yet (though that will come)

Due to your kindness with the hammer.. I've ordered this..
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Corgi-OOC-AEC-Rel ... 4690568431 . I didn't really want this one but hey.. it was there

Also.. bagged a pair of these..
http://www.alpinestars.com/SMX_5_Waterp ... 24309.html
Good news.. the boiler isn't cracked. Some jobbie attached to a pipe (a thermostat I think) had decided it wasn't going to be sealed anymore and let go

It's not been fixed yet (awaiting spares) but whatever happens.. it won't cost the same as a new boiler

The boots look look something from Star Wars
You might end up so hungry you'll have to eat the hammer at this rate
Just stick it between two pieces of bread for an Italian speciality
A Ham-a sandwich

That will teach me not to check in every day.
Happy birthday Dave!

Cheers Mate
Garry.. the boots were bought with what was left of last years birthday money and what I got this year. I was about £45 short last year so hung on until I'd accumulated the 'extra'. Over the months.. not only did the birthday money NOT increase.. it decreased significantly and with nothing to show for it.

In the words of that famous Welsh poet.. 'There it was.. gone!'
Wasn't gonna make the same mistake again so counted what I had left and what I had yesterday and the total came to the waterproof boots (which
are the ones I really wanted). Had I been short of target.. I'd have gone for the non-waterproof pair which are a fair bit cheaper (and on offer at Hein Gericke) and as I avoid wet weather, that wouldn't have been too bad. As it was, SWMBO said 'Go for the WP pair.. they'e what you want and you may never get the chance again'!

Who am I to argue

A very very belated Happy Birthday mate.
Apologies I missed the day. Its been somewhat of a blur for me these past few days.
Not been anyway near a computer. My virtual aircraft fleet are all grounded until further notice.
Knee deep in sh!t & p!ss and sleepless nights.
And thats before the baby arrived.
Anyway all the best Dave. I hope you had a half decent one.
Cheers
