Well said Darren! I would have loved to purchase their Northrop Gamma model but the quality just wasn't there. :( Until they raise their quality level my money will stay in my pocket. The same goes for another payware company. *cough, cough* Abacus *cough, cough*. ;) Icarus and Abacus...weren't they those two dudes from Greece who flew too close to the sun? *-) There's a lesson to be learned in there somewhere. ;)

I think it was Icarus and Daedalus but under the circumstances, Icarus and Abacus fit perfectly

According to SoH the Icarus Duck has flaps (only one Duck ever had them as a test) the freeware one doesn't.

Yes I do realise the irony is saying a Duck flaps......

Got to love the attention to detail though ;)

Poor old Icarus hasn't exactly covered himself in glory has he. I do wish SOH wouldn't make such a bloody drama out of these things, however. When he made the initial accusation, a simple 'Okay, we'll have a look and get back to you ' would have sufficed. Instead, its all bongo drums over the tannoy and people changing the light bulbs to red. Laughable, really.

I'll be getting the freeware Duck, as its looks a good model of a very interesting aircraft. Mind you, I hope some new paints come along because the current ones look a bit flat and featureless.

This is an excellent freeware model. I just hope this talented designer hasnt been scared off by all the recent goings on. Nice to read all has been sorted out and i now look forward to grabbing those tweaks for this superb model which were removed from the other site..

And this was this designers' first flightsim model, too. What a way to make an entrance, eh?

And now rather cheekily Icarus has taken a completely different thread on SoH about 2 people sharing pirated software and is trying to claim it is about his Duck being stolen, well the thread in question is only about sharing (I presume sending pirated software via the SoH internal messaging system which is how they have been found out). And is nothing about his rather poor and inaccurate Duck version being release as a freeware model, which it of course isn't and my best friend Stevie Wonder told me that. They have posted it on the Icarus main webpage and via Facebook (which I don't do it's on the website as well) with a Sites to avoid warning about SoH. So blind and stupid. They should grow some and move on.

I for one will never purchase anything of theirs now anyway, even though I have now seen the website and wouldn't anyway. I'd say their reputation has been severely damaged over this whole affair.

Sorry if this breaks any posting rules here (please remove if so) but this really makes me mad.
