SOH = Sim Outhouse. You oviously haven't been following this thread about the philanthropy shown by some forum members to another who had fallen on hard times.

An Old Friend in Dire Need

Perhaps it could happen here? If you make a good enough case for your need

Well you never know Ian. After all I am trying to preserve a piece of British (and French) engineering! ;)

Is the tail unit French???

That's a new on on me the other day when someone here mentioned it.

Maybe but subcontract, but design???

That was good thinking, Paul. At least you have some sheet aluminium to start your full size replica, which was your original idea. :wasntme:

Not all of them from what I recall Garry, but GE was a big advocate of working with the French as he saw it as the only realistic way to preserve the industry in both countries.

Definitely mate, and even then, not all of them as I understand. I was lead to believe it was very few of them actually, but I may have got the wrong end of the stick

4 is not a bad start but I'll need a few more. In fact to get this done in the timescales required I'll have become an alcoholic looking at the size of that tail and fin - 638 sq ft in fact.

That's good Ben...it can be discounted as French :)

The Aussies I think were making doors for 767's but you wouldn't class it as part Aussie

The 146 tail was made in I think, Sweden...or was it FINland

I had someone here, offer me some of their .. philanthropy~ism..

But after careful consideration the project was considered to be . non feasible.

It's the thought that counts anyway.. right?
