Christ Chris, that setup sounds like some foreign language to me, whatever happened to the days when setups were easily understood??!!!

My son rang me late this morning as he was speaking to my boss last light (the wife) and one of his friends works on computers and he has volunteered to spec one as well. So at the moment would like to hold on the one you gave if that's OK. But really appreciate your kind offer of help, should our paths ever cross I owe you a drink or two and may even include a bowl of rice pudding for Jetset as well for his input unlesss of course with his catering job at the airport he has already gone a bit upmarket with his taste buds with Avocado Croutes or Soufles etc!!. :sicky:

Again very many thanks.

Regards Nigel

Not a problem mate. If you like the look of the specs above, I can let you know which shops the parts are from should you choose to build it yourself or have someone do it for you.

Run the spec you get given past here first if thats ok and I'll give you an honest opinion.

The parts I select are chosen for a reason.... every single one. I don't just pick the cheapest etc, I pick them because I have experience with them and I know the quality or I have read good reviews on them.

ie the case.... it's made by Antec so I know straight away the quality is very good. Antec also make very good power supplies of which that case has a 400W power supply. If someone specs you a cheap as chips case with an unbranded 400W+ power supply then it's a waste of time. It's not just the wattage thats important but the quality of the rails within the PSU and how well it delivers the power to the system.

Whatever you do, don't buy complete from a shop and be careful what you spend your money on. I've seen a lot of people spend money on stuff I wouldn't take if it was free.
