Hmm.. a garage extension perhaps?
In anticipation of a break in the weather, I've taken the FMS XY600 receiver out of the SCub (while carefully noting the wires!) and put it into the Wildcat. The 'Cat' has been pwred up and all control surfaces moving as expected

If I could get my hands on another XY600, it'd save a lot of hassle but they seem scarcer than rocking horse droppings.. especially in DSSS flavour

An alternative is to get another 27mhz Ch5 rxer but they're over £30 and I don't care for the ZX10 much. Looks like the DX6i and rxer will be a Christmas pressie now along with 2 AR600 rxers

Good choice matey.
I have nothing but admiration for the Spektrum radio gear.
Holds its second hand value too.

Box of bits arrived from Wheelspin today. I see why the cowl on the Wildcat is considered sacrificial

Fitted and ready to go

The sun is out but the kids are back from school. I gather they broke up today

Will have to pick my moments very carefully

Bring it on!!
You'll love the Wildcat mate.
I took mine out this afternoon. Its dry and cloudy with little wind here currently.
Got through five li-pos.
I'll always have a soft spot for the cat.
You've flown that mustang and you'll notice a different type of beast with this one.
Keep your speed at a fair pace and don't drop power below 40% otherwise she'll stall and fall.
Hope your maiden goes well Dave. Keep us updated.

Cheers mate
I'm sitting here with my wellies at the ready and my coat on waiting for the trolls to sod off back home. Done a walkaround of where I usually fly and it's still very wet in certain areas. The mainly dry bits are at the last third/quarter of the flying area but there are small patches I've found. Not sure I could get the Cat onto one mind you

I've my 2 LiPo's charged and ready
It's greying over now.. almost 6/8 cover and starting to get cool. If I can sneak a couple of flights in tonight, I will, otherwise it's up early in the morning before the trolls get out of bed and start spilling out onto the streets
EDIT: Disaster.. bugger

Not sure exactly what happened but it may have been me. Needless to say, the glue is out again and repairs being effected. This poor girl has more glue on her than foam!

Rxer back in the Cub for now

Thanks for those kind words
No Joe.. not much to speak of. Mighty pi$$ed off by it to be honest

It started turning in almost immediately and I didn't have enough height to recover

All the control surfaces were level so I really don't know what gives

The damage is already repaired and should be strong enough for flight tomorrow

Not sure if a servo is sticking intermittantly or what. They all seem to work just fine
